When cutting thin sheet materials like galvo for ducting. while you can cut with height control enabled, it’s better to run with an air-driven plate rider system. The CR PLASMA plate rider is our own design system. Fully machined out of alloy and all designed to maintain robust accurate control of the torch position.

Our plate rider system has a very rigid aluminium design. All parts are precision machined. The drop-down pressure is provided by an ISO30 air cylinder Given each time the machine must pierce, the air ram must push the system down to the sheet, the machine Z-axis must overcome a lot of cycles over the lifetime of the machine. Our plate rider is built to last.
